How to Clear Mental Clutter and Create a Mantra That Grounds You

Why It’s So Hard to Hear Yourself Lately

If your head’s been feeling loud lately like there are too many opinions, too many inputs, too many decisions, you’re not alone.

Sometimes the hardest part of growth isn’t the work itself...
…it’s deciding which voice to listen to.

The inner critic.
The career expert.
The old story.
The well-meaning advice.
The voice of your past self.
The algorithm.

Next-level leadership starts with being able to clear the clutter without abandoning yourself.

A Mantra That Helps Me Clear the Mental Clutter

This week, I’ve been using a mantra to re-center. Maybe it will speak to you, too:

My potential is beyond the to-do list, the should-do list, and the what-they-want-from-me list.

To step into my next level today, I’ll shift from designing my day with my mind to designing it with my soul.

My peaceful soul wraps everything I do (and how I partner with myself) in love, without attachment.

Even reading it again now, it helps me stay grounded from a soulful place.

A mantra can be a great tool to help you choose which voice you lead with.

Journaling Prompt: Create Your Own Mantra

Take a few minutes to reflect…without editing or overthinking:

  • What does the light inside you care about?

  • What’s most important to your soul right now?

  • What imagery, symbols, or words calm you or bring you home?

  • What shifts when you lead with soul instead of striving or overthinking?

Read your answers out loud.
Then see if a phrase or line wants to emerge — something you can carry with you this week.
