Navigate Ambiguity in Big Tech
How this works
Jessica Manca, PCC, CEC
At some point in a successful career, the question often shifts from What can I do? to What do I really want?
I work with accomplished professionals across San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, and the greater Silicon Valley who want to keep growing while being more intentional about what comes next.
Together, we create space to examine what matters now, challenge assumptions, and make decisions that reflect both your ambitions and the life you want to build.
You don’t need quick fixes.
You need space, structure, and a thought partner who understands this terrain.

How is your career coaching different?
1
This is not quick-fix coaching or a job search strategy session. We partner together to understand the real blockers holding you back from the career clarity you want. We’ll address those blockers with personalized strategies to help you build confidence and momentum, often within the first 30 days.
You not only make progress toward your goals, you develop new tools for making those changes and habits last.
Do you understand the unique challenges of working in tech?
2
Yes. My background includes Enterprise Talent Management at Amazon and coaching leaders across companies such as Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Roblox, and Databricks.
I understand the pace, ambiguity, reorganizations, performance expectations, and career decisions common in Silicon Valley. That means we can dive quickly into how you need and want to operate within that environment, rather than treating the environment itself as the problem.
Do I need to be looking for a new job?
3
No. Many clients come to coaching because they want to decide whether to stay, grow where they are, or pursue something new. Others want to prepare for a promotion, use more of their potential, or reconnect with work that feels meaningful.
Coaching begins by understanding what you really want, not assuming the answer is a job change.
What happens in a career coaching session?
4
Sessions are conversational, focused, and tailored to what’s important to you. You set the agenda and goals for our work, and I help hold you accountable to them. In each session, you might reflect out loud, get called out, accept a challenge assignment, or get the space to sort out the pieces. We use simple techniques and even role play, such as for interview preparation, when useful.
My role is to create a safe, no-judgment environment where we can pressure-test ideas and action steps together.
What results can I expect from coaching?
Do you work with clients virtually?
Who is career coaching best suited for?
Clients often gain greater clarity, confidence, and new perspective. Clients tell me our work shortens the learning curve on changes that might have taken them months to work through on their own.
Depending on your goals, that may include making a career decision, articulating your value more clearly, strengthening your resume or interview approach, preparing for a promotion, navigating a transition, or feeling more grounded in what comes next.
When clients land a new role, they often continue coaching to support their success during the critical first 90 days.
Yes. I work virtually with professionals and leaders throughout San Jose, Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and across the United States. Scheduling is best suited to time zones that overlap reasonably with Pacific Time.
My coaching is best suited for accomplished professionals who are ready to actively participate in creating what comes next. You may already have a successful career and still know you’re capable of more. You’re willing to reflect, experiment, challenge your assumptions, and take action between sessions. You don’t need to know exactly what you want yet. That’s part of what we can discover together.
This work is probably not the right fit if you’re looking primarily for a place to vent without taking action, or if you want someone else to tell you what to do. I’ll challenge your thinking, ask you to test new approaches, and hold you accountable to the goals you set.
I don’t have a crystal ball, and I don’t believe you need fixing. My job is to help you uncover your own answers and then do something with them.
